The Goa Familia Project is an evolving archive that strives to create a broad and inclusive visual archive of Goan social and cultural history. Directed at seeking out physical material such as photographs, postcards, ancestral heirlooms and memorabilia, as well as oral and recorded histories, the archive will become a participatory space for people to contribute personal and collective stories. These stories help us reflect on the past and present in interesting ways. It also functions as a medium for active public engagement through which people can deepen meaningful connections with Goa's past.
Goa Familia has been conceived and funded by the Serendipity Arts Foundation
Exhibition view as part of an interdisciplinary showcase at the Serendipity Art Festival, December 2019.
